Check out before it's gone!The Scout 280 Abaco is about the ruggedest fishing boat in its class.The 280 Abaco boasts the innovative Scout-Strata-Mount outboard engine mounting system that has the fiberglass hull stringers running straight through the reverse transom and into the engine mount, transmitting the stress generated by the twin 200 HP Yamaha HPDI 2 stroke engines throughout the entire hull giving unsurpassed structural strength.The large cockpit amenities include a large lighted live well, 2 in deck fish boxes, under gunwale rod storage and bolstered combings. There are in deck mounts for a removable cushioned leaning post complete with rod holders. A large storage box with a cushion cover and 2 folding fighting chairs will convey with the boat. Seating for 4 on the raised helm deck includes 2 helm chairs with adjustable backs for leaning comfort and seating for 2 on the bait wells each with grab rails close by. Centered on the helm deck is a generous bilge access hatch which below houses the batteries, charger and sump pump and a mount for a dinette on the hatch itself. Flush mounted into the port bait well is a small locker housing the battery and parallel switches along with the bilge pump, windlass, helm feed and shore power main circuit breakers.Down a 2 step folding ladder you enter the cabin. There is very mild oxidation in the gelcoat and it is currently being detailed.
There is evidence of a small impact gel crack on deck port side forward and an impact crack in the swim platform port side aft.
